Group and School Travelling to Croatia

Croatia is a Catholic country and there are 3 beautiful churches in Zagreb:

-The Church of St. Franjo Asiki.

-The Church of St. Katarina.

-The Church of the Mother of God of Sljeme.

There is also a cathedral in Zagreb, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was founded in 1093 and finished in 1242 but suffered huge amounts of damage, exterior renovations were still taking place in 1990.

Croatian landmarks in Zagreb

The parliament where the government meets in the upper-town in Zagreb and is one of the landmarks which is there. Another landmark in Zagreb is the Strossmayer promenade which is in between the upper- and lower- town. There is also the Tower Lotrak, the Memorial Collection of Miroslav and Bela Krlea, the Croatian State Archives and the Funicular.

Zagreb is in central Croatia and has a continental climate with hot and dry summers but cold winters.
